4 Reasons Why #GivingTuesday is Important for Oregon

Spending days shopping after celebrating thankfulness can also seem counter-productive, which is why nonprofits around the country, including us, have come together to celebrate giving and thankfulness as we enter the holiday season with #GivingTuesday.
Giving Tuesday takes place every year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, giving participants a chance to donate to causes that matter to them the most. This year, December 3rd, we hope you join this international movement with us - to help us reach our goal of $1,000 by Giving Tuesday.

1. It’s a great way to start the holiday season.
After a weekend of nonstop shopping, the idea of going out and spending more money may seem daunting. Donating on Giving Tuesday helps you make a difference in your community, and can be a fun thing to share with a friend, family member, children, co-workers...anyone! Donating together and watching what your donation does throughout the year is a great way to celebrate your community year-round!
2. GivingTuesday is a great way to connect with causes you care about.
Even if you've never donated before, Giving Tuesday is still for you, too! One-time gifts of any size before and/on December 3rd is a great way to participate and connect with organizations you’re passionate about.
